ISSEI AK PUNCH - AVAILABLE IN 2.4", 2.8" & 3.3"

It's time we talked about one of our most asked-about, most sought-after, and most unique soft plastics we have in the store, the AK PUNCH 3.3" from Issei. Previously available in solely 2.4" and 2.8", their largest size, and possibly most versatile size was just added to the lineup.

WHAT MAKES AK PUNCH SPECIAL?

AK Punch has many different properties that set it apart from any other bait on the market. First, it has a heavy, bulbous tail. This tail has a pulsating action that vibrates up and down. When you jig it, the weight of the tail allows this bait to back-slide right back into the strike zone. You can lift this bait a foot off of the bottom and it will fall with an enticing fall rate & tail movement right back into the zone.

When you simply swim AK Punch, the tail will vibrate quickly up and down, creating an enticing fleeing crawfish movement that bass cannot resist. You can dial on in this specific bite by selecting which size of AK Punch you want to do this with, depending on the size of the crawfish that bass are feeding on. For smallmouth, for example, we would recommend the 2.4" and 2.8". If you're around trophy largemouth, consider sizing up to the 3.3".

When you lightly twitch AK Punch, it creates an erratic action and goes side-to-side but always ends up back sliding ever so perfectly. We have experienced success simply dead-sticking AK Punch when the bite gets really tough.

TACKLE HACK FOR AK PUNCH:

If you insert a tungsten Neko weight into the tail-end of AK Punch, it adds even more vibration and allows it to be fished deeper - for instance, out on a rock pile, or in deep timber. This bait is designed to be fished weightless (Texas-Rigged) on an EWG hook, so it can be fished in snaggy areas - around boat docks, around timber, lily pads, cut banks, rock piles and anywhere else you want to throw it. By adding a Neko weight, you can get this bait down a little deeper and make it even more versatile. One more tip we have for AK punch is to add some fine silicone strands into the tail for added movement. We suggest cutting up one of the Untamed Tackle Fine-Cut Skirts for the best lifelike action.
