Smith Catapy II Topwater Plug

Description

The original catfish-specific plug, the Catapy. From 2024, it has been remodeled into the Catapy II, which can be fitted with a luminous body on its head.

The thrill comes from the water surface breaking and the lure being dragged underwater, accompanied by the catfish’s uniquely loud vacuum-like predatory sound, “Pat! Pat! Slurp! Slurp!”. To make the exciting game of targeting catfish & bass even more enjoyable, a topwater approach is the basic strategy. In order to appeal to the target, which are actively moving around in the evening and later, what was sought in the Catapy II was to use a lure that moves water and makes sound when simply retrieved, thereby appealing to the fish even more. Furthermore, in order to make fishing even more enjoyable in the evening and later when light is extremely low, a function has been incorporated to further enhance the visibility of the lure.
